Our recent concerts in 2022/2023 have raised over £1,000 for the brilliant charity Music Therapy Works.

On 10th May 2023 we were also delighted to present a cheque for the amazing sum of £5,476.22 (in digits, although the written numbers say Seventy Two Pence, oops . . . ) to Jay Spragg from Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, covering the funds raised at our Christmas Concerts in 2021 and 2022.

First Christmas Concert 2023 at Birmingham Town Hall. The Midlands Hospitals’ Choir with friends and guests, Phoenix Singers, Bournville Village Primary School Choir, Gemini Brass, soprano soloist Joanna Cook, organist Charles Matthews and pianist Charis Tai.

Second Christmas Concert 2023 at Selly Oak Methodist Church, pianists Sara Wilander and Melissa Morris duetting “Sleigh Ride” by Leory Anderson, accompanied by a mystery guest percussionist.

Bournville Gardens Concerts 2020/2021

We’ve sung several times at Bournville Gardens Retirement Village in the last year or so, carol singing during Christmas 2020 and an open air concert during Summer 2021, and will be doing so again during Christmas 2021. Credit for these pictures goes to the Gardens’ photographer, who very kindly sent us some of the photos he took.

Christmas 2020. It was pretty cold but we stuck it out and the residents loved us!
